Over 140 Sea Cadets (boys and girls age 10-18) in US Navy uniforms compete in 15 different events showcasing Naval training including Color Guard, Personnel Inspection, Marksmanship, Knot-Tying, Mile Run, Fire-Fighting, Rescue Line Heaving, Sit-ups, Push-ups & Pull-ups. RRGF CUSTOM STREAMERS employ the same materials and workmanship as are found in our regulation military streamers.   What better way to give an organization's flag or guidon the recognition it deserves, in a non-invasive way, than to display a military quality streamer!  Clients includes fire departments, police departments, municipalities, high schools, colleges and universities, military organizations, veterans groups, a major national and international supplemental life and health insurance company, and a major U.S. snack-food company; even one Presidential Library!  Please take the time to read the information shown below, then give us a call!

• Custom streamers must conform to Guidon or Campaign Streamer widths; in most cases we can adjust the length to conform to the requirements of your project (within reason) - contact RRGF for more information

  • AVAILABLE WIDTHS ARE 1 3/8″ AND 2 3/4″, standard lengths are 24″ to 48″ - we have NO OTHER WIDTHS AVAILABLE

  • IMPORTANT EMBROIDERY NOTE: Words on a streamer are not an issue.  We will also embroider standard military streamer devices. Standard military devices are stars, palms, arrowheads, EHD's, and Taeguks.

  • MILITARY EMBROIDERY STANDARDS: All custom streamers are SINGLE PLY and made in accordance with MIL-DTL-14650B, the official military standard describing materials, workmanship, font size and style, etc. BE ADVISED THAT STREAMERS MADE TO THIS STANDARD READ CORRECTLY ON THE "FRONT" SIDE ONLY!

    Up to 52 letters, spaces, numbers, and special characters on a 1 3/8″ x 36″ (aspect ratio of 26.18:1)
    Up to 69 letters, spaces, numbers, and special characters on a 1 3/8″ x 48″ (aspect ratio of 34.91:1)
    Up to 25 letters, spaces, numbers, and special characters on a 2 3/4″ x 36″ (aspect ratio of 13.09:1)

1.  ALL CLIENTS - CUSTOM Streamers must conform to military criteria for width - your choice is either 1 3/8″ or 2 3/4″, up to 48″ in length

2.  ALL CLIENTS - CUSTOM Streamers must be chosen from the colors available in our custom color charts.  

3.  MILITARY CLIENTS - No regulation military campaign, award, or service streamer may be employed by a military unit as a CUSTOM streamer

4.  ALL CLIENTS - No deviation in the construction method for CUSTOM streamers from that shown in MIL-DTL-14650B, DETAIL SPECIFICATION, STREAMERS, GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR (click HERE to see construction schematics)

MIL-SPEC VS. NON-MIL-SPEC

MIL-SPEC refers to streamers defined by a particular service in terms of color, pattern, material, and STYLE NUMBER.  MIL-SPEC streamers are defined by MIL-DTL-11589/xxx documents and have Moiré patterns (Moiré looks like "waves" in the body of the streamer and is most easily seen in solid body color streamers). In addition, these streamers will have assigned embroidered inscriptions or devices as defined by a particular service's STREAMER LISTING (the Style Number). NON-MIL-SPEC streamers are those not defined by a STYLE NUMBER.  All of our streamers, whether MIL-SPEC or NON-MIL-SPEC, meet DoD MIL-SPEC standards for materials and workmanship
